Fw: Bless the Children

Matt 19:13 One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. 14 But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." 15 And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left.

In an attempt to quote Psalm 23 a 5 year old girl said, "The Lord is my shepherd, that's all I want."

In the early 1960's a tradition in this country came to a halt due to liberal legislation. Prayer in our public schools was banned. Part of that prayer included a phrase about blessing the children. I won't take the time to name all the social and moral declines since that fateful day. My point is this. Jesus said to allow the children to come to Him. Then He blessed them.

In your travels today as you see children or pass a school pray for God's blessing on the children. And may He bless you mightily this day as well.

Love in Christ,
